Agustin's Mexico Through my Eyes Tour San Miguel De Allende, Guanajuato (7 full days) 2 traveling days (9 days total)

Come enjoy with me the adventure of this beautiful cosmopolitan jewel of central Mexico! Located at 6,100 feet in the mountains of the State of Guanajuato, San Miguel is famous for its art schools, mild climate and baroque architectural style.
Immerse yourself in Mexico's culinary culture as we visit markets, food stands and other local shops. We will spend a day in the country for a ranch-style comida and tasting of pulque (a mild alcoholic drink made from maguey plants). In our hands-on cooking classes, you will prepare a variety of regional specialties, from simply delicious salsas and appetizers to more complex tamales and mole dishes. We will visit nearby Dolores Hidalgo for a ceramic making demonstration and stop at the historical village of Atotonilco, home to an exquisite church covered with indigenous frescoes.

Other side tours include a visit to a cheese factory and a hand-blown glass shop. We will also take a day to simply relax in the natural thermal waters at a spa located outside of San Miguel and share a special lunch. During the tour, you will have ample free time to make new friends and shop for antiques, art and other home decorating finds. This is a one-of-a-kind experience for those in search of adventurous leisure and culinary delights!

Taste of The Missions: A Culinary and Cultural Tour of San Francisco's Mission District

Join me for my personal tour of San Francisco's Latin American Mission District. Enter the festive world of a contemporary community marketplace, where you will be surrounded by the wonderful aromas, sights, and sounds of Latin America and admire some of the nearly 900 murals on the walls, streets and alleys of this famous neighborhood. Absorb some of the history of this diverse residential area, home to one of San Francisco's oldest buildings and most historically important landmarks, Mission Dolores (Mision San Francisco de Asis).

The group will visit a tortilla shop, where we will discuss the miracle of corn while you watch how tortillas are made the traditional way, by hand. We will also explore a great variety of chiles, exotic fruits and vegetables. The tour includes a visit to a Panaderia (Mexican Bakery), and a butcher shop with a very interesting combination of services. At the butcher's, you can buy meat products, handmade tortillas, and prepared foods to be shared at communal tables; you can also purchase tequilas and send money home! Together we will enjoy a delicious homemade lunch and visit an interesting local gallery.
Tours are offered Monday-Saturday 10:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
